  1. Download the .zwo file from the workout builder.
  2. Windows: open Documents\Zwift\Workouts\; macOS: ~/Documents/Zwift/Workouts/.
  3. Enter the numbered folder (your Zwift ID; pick the one with the most files if there are several).
  4. Copy the .zwo file in.
  5. Restart Zwift → Training → Custom Workouts.
MyWhoosh
Web upload

MyWhoosh has no local workout folder — upload through the official Workout Builder.

  1. Download the .zwo file.
  2. Open workout.mywhoosh.com and sign in with your MyWhoosh account.
  3. Upload the .zwo; it is parsed into an editable preview.
  4. Press Export to MyWhoosh.
  5. The workout appears in the MyWorkout folder in the app.
Hammerhead Karoo 2 / 3
Smoothest

No subscription, no plugins — upload on the Dashboard and it syncs to the unit.

  1. Download the .zwo or .fit file.
  2. Sign in at dashboard.hammerhead.io and select Workouts.
  3. Click Add Workout and drag the file into the dialog.
  4. The workout syncs the next time your Karoo is online (opening the Companion App speeds this up).
  5. On the Karoo: Apps → Workouts → select → Follow Workout → press play in the Ride screen.
Garmin Edge / Forerunner / Fenix
USB required

Copy the FIT workout straight onto the unit over USB — no subscription or third-party service needed.

  1. Download the .fit workout file.
  2. Connect the Garmin device by USB; it mounts as a drive.
  3. Copy the .fit file into Garmin/NewFiles/.
  4. Eject and unplug — the device files it into your workout list automatically.
  5. On the device: Training → Workouts → select and start.
Bryton / iGPSPORT / Magene
Manual entry

These brands currently offer no free file-import path, but each app has a built-in workout editor you can re-enter the workout into.

  1. Keep the workout builder open for reference (durations and %FTP targets).
  2. Bryton: Bryton Active app → Training → create workout.
  3. iGPSPORT: create the workout in the app's training section, then sync.
  4. Magene: OnelapFit app → workout editor → sync.
  5. Sync to the head unit and ride.
ROUVY / TrainingPeaks Virtual / FulGaz
ZWO supported

These indoor platforms also accept .zwo files.

  1. ROUVY: upload the .zwo in the custom workouts area of the web portal.
  2. TrainingPeaks Virtual: drop into Documents\TPVirtual\workouts (ZWO / ERG / MRC).
  3. FulGaz: import in the custom workout section of the app or website.
Three common misconceptions
"Upload the workout FIT to Garmin Connect and it syncs to the head unit"
Garmin Connect cannot import workout FIT files. Use USB into Garmin/NewFiles/, or a supported third-party sync.
"A free TrainingPeaks account can relay workouts to my head unit"
The free tier cannot plan future workouts, and future calendar entries are exactly what head units sync — so it cannot serve as a relay.
"MyWhoosh works like Zwift — just drop the file in a folder"
MyWhoosh has no local workout folder; upload through the official Workout Builder instead.
