- Individualization comes first: All numbers are ranges and starting points. Fine-tune based on your body’s feedback, and see a doctor first if you have chronic conditions or old injuries.

What happened to A-Zhe? He spent about six months learning to view training through the lens of weekly volume. He stopped obsessing over “should this set be three reps or five sets” and instead reviewed each week: “How much effective stimulus did I apply to each muscle group in total, and how well did I recover?” He got bigger, got injured less often, and most importantly, he finally felt that training “made sense and could be quantified” rather than being a bunch of mysticism.
What I want to leave you with is the same message: Stop obsessing over how many reps in a single set—raise your perspective to the weekly volume ledger. Volume is king, intensity is quality, frequency is the tool that spreads your volume out, and recovery is what turns it all into muscle. Get these four things in the right order, and your training will shift from busywork to logical accumulation.
Training is a long-term compounding process, not a one-time burst. May you count clearly, train steadily, and go far.
