Consistency matters far more than the specific time of day.

This is the most fascinating part of habit science. The destination you’re pursuing is never “becoming a person with more willpower,” but rather designing your training smartly enough that you don’t need willpower at all. Set up the cues, prepare the environment, lower the threshold, build in rewards, don’t break the chain—and let your brain’s energy-saving mode handle the rest.

Start with one small thing tonight: put tomorrow’s cycling gear by the front door. That’s it. Your automation journey begins with lowering that tiny bit of friction.
