For older adults worried about falls, Tai Chi or balance training at the community park covers both aerobic and the “neuromotor” category. Don’t box yourself into a single activity—adding variety in types not only reduces the risk of overuse injuries from repetitive strain on one area, but also makes exercise less likely to become boring.
V — Volume: Multiply Everything Above

Common Mistakes and Corrections
Having coached people for so many years, I’ve found that everyone tends to trip over the same pitfalls. Here they are—check how many you’ve hit.
Mistake 1: Maxing out both intensity and volume from day one.
This is the most common and the most damaging. Following an influencer’s training plan in week one leaves you sore all over and questioning your life choices, or you end up with a direct injury.
