- Wednesday: 1–1.5 hours of easy Z2 riding

- Don’t let Sweet Spot become “the whole ride”: Be sure to include a proper warm-up and cool-down before and after SST workouts to give your body time to enter and exit the high-load state.
- Keep pacing steady: The biggest challenge of SST is maintaining a stable output, avoiding “starting too hard and fading at the end.” It is recommended to track real-time output using 3-second average power display.
- Schedule an easy week every 3–4 weeks: Sustained high SST load without rest carries a high risk of overtraining. Reduce training volume to 40–50% of normal during easy weeks.
- The advantage of indoor trainers: Riding in urban Taiwan often involves traffic lights and elevation changes. Using a smart trainer with ERG mode for SST workouts keeps power output most stable.
