- Set up marker points and practice completing braking at a fixed distance to build “brake feel”
- Regularly check hydraulic disc brake fluid levels and rotor wear to ensure consistent braking power
- When descending, keep your fingers in a “covering the brake lever” position (lightly touching but not applying pressure), ready to respond to unexpected situations at any moment
