Use scissors or a utility knife to cut cleanly at the end of the overlap area. Press down again after cutting to confirm adhesion.

At the valve hole location, pierce through the rim tape with a sharp tool (such as an awl), then insert the tubeless valve from the outside. Tighten the valve’s locking nut, but do not overtighten—excessive force may deform the rim tape.
Step 7: Check Airtightness
After installing the valve, before mounting the tire, cover the rim surface with your palm and pump a small amount of air through the valve to check for any obvious air leaks. If there are any, locate the leak point and press down again or patch it.
