Qiongzhu Temple via Heiqiong Road, Kunming

This high-altitude suburban climb follows the continuously paved public Heiqiong Road in Kunming's Wuhua District toward Qiongzhu Temple and Yu'an Mountain. The 5.11 km segment rises from roughly 1,938 m to 2,182 m, giving a credible net ascent of about 245 m at an API average of 4.8%. The parent API values of zero ascent and 41.8% maximum grade are erroneous or noisy and should not be quoted. Residents, visitors and vehicles share the road, while fire-risk closures, storms, geological hazards, works or events may impose temporary controls.
