Kuragari Pass — Osaka West Side

A renowned climb from the Osaka side of Mount Ikoma, following National Route 308 from Hiraoka toward historic Kuragari Pass. The road is exceptionally steep and narrow in places, and the stone-paved approach near the pass can be slippery when wet. It remains a shared public road, so riders should yield to walkers and vehicles, descend cautiously, and walk the bicycle whenever grip or control is uncertain. Carry water and food rather than relying on summit services.
