A 10.95 km climb with about 544 m of accumulated ascent on the ordinary S205 Yaoli–Ehu provincial road near Wanghu in Yaoli. The mostly moderate gradient rewards steady pacing, but the mountain road has bends, limited shoulders and shared tourist traffic. Avoid heavy rain and the period immediately after it because landslides, rockfall and debris are possible. During May Day and other holiday peaks, police may introduce temporary traffic controls around Wanghu; check current notices and obey all closures.
