Second, VDOT effectively drops by about 1 point in summer—high heat and humidity mean the same effort yields a slower result, so Taiwan’s July–September period is not ideal for VDOT testing. Third, keep intensities distinct—T pace should not drift into I pace, or accumulated fatigue will compromise the following week’s sessions.
