  4. Avoid disrupting sleep during race week: Many runners cannot sleep the night before a race, but research shows that cumulative sleep quality in the two weeks before the race matters more than the night before
  5. Supplement with magnesium: Taiwanese diets are commonly deficient in magnesium, which aids muscle relaxation and deep sleep; it can be obtained from pumpkin seeds, black beans, and dark leafy greens
