My Recommended Kit
If you only want to buy the bare essentials for maintenance:
- One bottle of degreaser (any brand works)
- One bottle of chain lube (Wet Lube is recommended for Taiwan)
- One bottle of frame cleaner (or substitute with dish soap)
- One small tin of carbon fiber assembly paste (essential for carbon bikes)
The four items above cost roughly NT$800-1,500 combined, and will last you half a year to a year.
Good cleaning and maintenance products are the best insurance policy for your bike.
