  • Excessive rest can dull your “racing edge.”

The core of a taper is not “rest,” but “reducing volume while maintaining intensity”:

  • Training Intensity: Maintain at 95–100%

This way, the body believes it is “still training” while having space to recover—leading to what is known as a Peak.
