Why Is a Hydration System So Important?

How It Works

A front aero bottle typically consists of three parts:

T1 Transition

Bike Leg 0-60 km

Electrolyte Strategy

Drinking plain water alone causes sodium loss, leading to cramps. Recommendations:

  • Add electrolyte powder to the front aero bottle (pre-mixed to your preferred concentration before the race)
  • Use plain water in the rear seat and down tube bottles (can be topped up at aid stations)
