- Yoga and stretching classes: One weekly yoga or full-body stretching class is the best supplement for maintaining a runner’s overall flexibility
- Pre-bedtime stretching: A 10-minute static stretching session before bed each night is a safe and effective flexibility investment that won’t affect the next day’s training
- Flexibility goals vary by individual: Excessive flexibility isn’t necessarily a good thing — moderate tendon stiffness benefits running efficiency, so don’t chase excessive flexibility
