A paved public-road climb from the Matsuda side of Ashikaga to Fujisaka Pass. This is the Matsuda approach, distinct from the Nagusa-side route. The road is shared with local traffic and has wooded, partly blind bends. Check current Ashikaga and Tochigi road restrictions before riding, especially after heavy rain, and review official bear sightings for the Fujisaka area.

本路線從足利市松田側攀向藤坂峠，與由名草出發的另一坡面方向相反，名稱、起點與攻略不可混用。足利市將藤坂峠列為公路自行車爬坡路線，亦納入常設的 Vélo.Satoyama 模範路線。
道路為居民及一般車輛共同使用的鋪裝公路，不是封閉賽道。林間彎道可能遮蔽對向視線，騎士應單列行進並在入彎前降速。
