Mount Myogi – Matsuida Side

This distinctive 9.22 km road climb gains about 373 m from Matsuida in Annaka, following the paved public Prefectural Routes 213 and 196 around the dramatic slopes of Mount Myogi. Short descents and easier sections soften the headline average, while the latter half delivers the more sustained climbing and tight bends. Riders are rewarded with close views of one of Japan's celebrated three great scenic curiosities, but must remain alert for falling stones, wet leaves, longitudinal road grooves, blind corners and tourist traffic.
