  • Engage your lower abdomen: While running, consciously draw your navel gently toward your spine to activate the deep core.
  • Find pelvic “neutral”: Before running, practice tilting your pelvis forward and backward to find the neutral position that is neither anteriorly nor posteriorly tilted.
  • Increase cadence: Raising cadence to around 170 steps per minute naturally shortens stride length, reduces overstriding, and lowers impact with each step.
  • Lean slightly forward from the ankles: Lean the whole body forward from the ankles, not by bending at the waist, and let gravity help propel you forward.
