Taking advantage of the Taiwan Lantern Festival holiday to head south with family, CT Yeh stayed at a local bike-friendly hotel and set off at dawn along the west coast's pleasant morning light for a road bike ride combining scenic beauty and local delicacies. The route started from Budai, Chiayi, weaving through the playful Haomeili 3D painted alleys, then followed the open, flat coastal roads south into Beimen, Tainan, visiting the historic and mirror-like Jingzaijiao Tile-paved Salt Fields. Beyond cycling, there was plenty of indulgence in freshly grilled oysters sourced directly from the production area. Under the blue sky, white clouds, and sea breeze, this southern Taiwan coastal tour filled with maritime flavors and local warmth was truly captivating!
