Fifteen colleagues joined forces with Taipei's well-known Apollo cycling team for a long-awaited first high-mountain road cycling adventure—challenging the New Central Cross-Island Highway (Provincial Highway 21) in Nantou, heading straight for Tataka Saddle. The footage thoughtfully marks highway milestones, as the group departs from Shuili, gradually climbing along the magnificent river valley, passing through Xinyi Township, Tongfu, and Caopingtou. As the altitude rises sharply through the Husband-and-Wife Trees, thick mountain fog sets in and temperatures drop rapidly, with a continuous climb of dozens of kilometers testing everyone's lungs and leg endurance. Along the long ride, there are also sudden, perilous downhill sections and road incidents. What thrilling trials will this high-mountain expedition, filled with laughter and sweat, encounter?
