C Races—A High-Quality Training Day You Pay For
I often tell athletes: “A C race is an ultra-realistic training session you buy with your entry fee.” Its value isn’t in the result, but in the things you can’t easily practice elsewhere:
- Transition practice (T1, T2): Fumbling to get your wetsuit off after the swim, struggling to clip into your pedals, wobbly legs on the run—these can only truly be practiced in a race setting. Doing one C race and running through your transitions is a hundred times more useful than simulating them in your head at home.
