Follow the JJSC team on the second day of their southern Taiwan cycling adventure, starting from Tainan after a hearty breakfast. The route passes through Longqi and Qishan hills, and when the team cuts onto the riverside industrial road along the Ailiao River in Ligang, the rough surface causes the camera mount to crack, but they unexpectedly connect to the scenic Bikini Bike Path. The main challenge comes in Taiwu Township, Pingtung, where riders officially begin the 10-kilometer continuous climb of Dawushan Gate at the Wutan Stone Monument, with the back section featuring a brutal 20% gradient. Beyond the high-intensity climbing, the ride also visits the Wanchin Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and indulges in Wandan pork knuckles and night market snacks, making the trip both joyful and punishing.
