NeverStop Series Overview
The NeverStop series is an extreme cycling challenge event organized by the Taipei Cycling Committee, built around the spirit of “finishing is victory.” It suits riders of all levels, from beginners to advanced.

Detailed Event Introductions
Yangjin P-shaped Mountain Road Challenge (Beginner Recommended)
This is the most beginner-friendly event in the series. The route follows the P-shaped mountain road around Yangmingshan, including classic sections such as Yangde Avenue and the Yangjin Highway.
Difficulty: Moderate
Recommended Fitness: FTP 2.0+ W/kg, able to complete a 3-hour ride
Highlights: Held in winter, with cool weather ideal for climbing
Taipei–Kaohsiung Challenge (Endurance Challenge)
Ride from Taipei to Kaohsiung in a single day—a 370 km ultra-long-distance challenge. This is not a race for speed, but an endurance event that tests your willpower.
Difficulty: High (long distance)
Recommended Fitness: Experience completing a 200 km long-distance ride
Highlights: Aid stations and support vehicles along the entire route
Finish Time: Typically 14–20 hours
Preparation Tips:
- At least one ride of 200 km or more within the 2 months before the event
- Practice riding at night (you may be riding into the late hours)
- Prepare chamois protection (to address chafing from prolonged riding)
Tataka: Exploring the New Central Cross-Island Highway (Mountain Challenge)
Starting from Chiayi and following the Alishan Highway to Tataka, this is a nearly 100 km continuous climb.
Difficulty: Very high
Recommended Fitness: FTP 2.8+ W/kg, with long-distance climbing experience
Highlights: Passes through the Alishan National Scenic Area, offering spectacular views
Summit Challenge: Wuling (The Ultimate Classic)
The flagship event of the series, starting from the Geographic Center Monument in Puli and tackling the highest point on Taiwan’s roads, Wuling. The competitive group has a 4-hour time limit.
Difficulty: Extremely high
Recommended Fitness: FTP 3.0+ W/kg
Competitive Group Time Limit: 4 hours
Challenge Group Time Limit: 6 hours
Registration Information
- Registration typically opens 3–6 months before the event
- Popular events (Wuling) sell out instantly, so set your alarm
- Registration fee is approximately NT$1,200–2,500 (depending on the event)
- Finishers receive a completion medal and certificate
Advice for Beginners

- Have at least 3 months of riding experience
